Allen Signs Team Now Bigger than Ever

Allen Signs has grown to almost 20 staff members after the company unveiled its latest recruit to help it keep up with new business wins.

The signage and display company based in Lincoln has just signed the paperwork to employ Chloe Wiggs on a 12-month apprenticeship with Grimsby Institute.

The increase in staff members comes as the company continues to go from strength to strength thanks to an ambitious growth strategy.

Chloe, aged 18, has joined the sales and marketing arm of the business to help Allen Signs win new business from across the East Midlands.

She joins Allen Signs as Sales and Marketing Executive after leaving Lincoln Castle Academy this summer. Chloe studied business, media studies and sociology. After recently passing her A-levels, Chloe made the decision to join Allen Signs on an apprenticeship to gain valuable work experience.

She said:

“I’m thrilled to be a fully fledged member of the Allen Signs team! I’ve always been interested in marketing and I can’t wait to learn more about the company and get on board with their ambitious plans for growing the business.

“Although I had the option of going to university this year, I decided to kick start my career with Allen Signs to build my experience and skills with a reputable firm. I can’t thank them enough for this opportunity.”

Chloe will work in the Allen Signs head office on Whisby Way in Lincoln from Monday to Friday, but 20 per cent of her time will be spent on training programmes in partnership with Grimsby Institute on the intermediate sales and telesales apprenticeship course to further develop her skills.

Chloe has been warmly congratulated by Adam O’Connor, Business Development Consultant at Grimsby Institute.

He said:

“I think Chloe will fit in well at Allen Signs, so I wish her all the best for the future! Apprenticeships are a great way of continuing to learn while gaining first-hand work experience.”

Chloe will work closely with Glen Merryweather, one of three directors at Allen Signs.

Glen commented:

“Thanks to our ambitious growth plan, we’re in a position to be able to recruit new members to the team. As a company, we are very keen on developing our staff throughout their journey with us.

“Chloe made the choice to join our team rather than continuing to university, so we’re going to make sure we invest our time and resources into her, like we do with all of our staff.

“Chloe is going to be able to help us market our services and products with great enthusiasm as we continue to increase our work outside of the East Midlands.”
