Local business takes on boat challenge to help change children’s lives!

After raising over £2,000 for a children’s charity last year a Northwest Leicestershire based manufacturer, of insulation and beverage dspense equipment, jumped at the chance to take part in Rainbows Children’s Hospice 10th Anniversary challenge.

This event takes place on the 5th August along the River Trent in Nottingham near the popular Riverside Festival.

K-Flex, a manufacturer and distributor of insulation products and beverage dispensing equipment based in Coalville, were awarded the Charity Prize at last year’s Boat Challenge for raising the most money for Rainbows at the event. Their donations provided the vital care required to the region’s most seriously ill children, young people and their families.

Dirk Parker, General Manager for UK said,

“We want to make an even bigger impact for this year’s event and ask everyone to get behind us for this worthy cause. Rainbows Hospice is the very essence of what a charity should be hence why we have continued to support the organisation over the last five years. The boat challenge gives us a chance to get involved, to enhance our team spirit and help our charity of choice. We would love to retain our trophy but what’s more important is to raise even more funds this year. “

Tom Stanyard, Rainbows Corporate Fundraiser said,

“We’re really pleased that the reigning charity champions, K-Flex, are coming back to defend their title this year. As we’re almost entirely funded by donations, without their support at events like these Rainbows simply couldn’t provide the vital care that life limited children, from across the East Midlands, need”.
