Ryley Wealth Management reports continuing strong growth

Nottingham based Ryley Wealth Management Ltd, a Senior Partner Practice of St. James’s Place, has reported record results for the financial year to December 17 and continuing strong growth into 2018.

Ryley Wealth Management is the largest St. James’s Place practice in the East Midlands and one of the largest in the country, providing wealth management advice to personal and corporate clients, and sports professionals. The business had previously invested significantly in new IT and systems and in 2016 relocated to new offices at The Arc on the ng2 business park.

Turnover for the year to December 2017 increased by 45% to £2.9M and over the same period increased the clients’ funds under management by £55M. This growth has continued in 2018 with total funds under management now exceeding £400M.

Chief Executive Officer and founder David Ryley said:

“2017 was an excellent year for the business and its clients and justifies the relocation and significant investment we made the previous year. We believe we have made significant strides in building our client service proposition to provide great ongoing advice and guidance in the best ways of managing wealth which we believe has been a significant contributor to our growth.”

David adds,

“Our growth is also good news for the charities we support as we donate 1% of our new business revenues to the St. James’s Place Charitable Foundation and a further 1% to the East Midlands based 1% Matters Fund. Embracing Corporate Social Responsibility is important to us and we are also delighted to be working with the East Midlands Chamber of Commerce helping to increase the engagement of the business community in Corporate Social Responsibility.”

Ryley Wealth Management is also investing in a new adviser development scheme. Ruth Harrison, Managing Director said:

“We set up our development scheme some 9 months ago and by this September we will have 3 additional advisers enrolled with the aim of them becoming fully qualified over an 18/24 month period. The scheme is a bespoke structured programme, with significant support from St. James’s Place, which will provide the successful participants with a very strong grounding on all aspects of wealth management including administration, technical case construction and advising itself. We aim to field only the very best advisers for our clients and we have taken the view that the best way to do this is to grow our own.”

Ryley Wealth Management currently employs 28 staff in Nottingham and anticipate this continuing to grow.
