trentbarton takes Heanor prom queens for spin

Fifteen pupils from Heanor Gate School travelled in style to their prom at Derby’s Pride Park on a special balloon-filled H1 bus laid on by trentbarton.

The girls hit on the idea of catching the bus to their prom after travelling to and from Heanor Gate hundreds of times on the H1 during their school years.

Molly Saxton, 16, said:

“It was a group decision with my friends. We thought it would be a fun way to travel and we would stand out a lot when we made our arrival.

“Most of us get the H1 to school every day so we sent an email to trentbarton and got the reply that it was a ‘yes’. We’re very lucky, it’s very nice of trentbarton to do this for us.”

The Year 11 girls, who have just finished their GCSE exams, were picked up at Shipley Common Lane and transported in the specially festooned H1 complete with its bespoke destination sign on the front.

Molly said:

“A massive thank you on behalf of all of us girls to trentbarton. You made our day perfect and memorable with many laughs and cheers.

“The bus was amazing, as well as the balloons and driver. We all appreciate it so much and all you did for us. It was truly a night we will always remember."

Jordan Kemp, marketing & communications manager at trentbarton, said:

“The prom is a big night for these young customers, so we were thrilled to be able to give them their very own bus and driver – the ultimate stretch limo.”
