Document Network Services awarded Cyber Essentials accreditation

Derbyshire based managed services and technology supplier Document Network Services have been awarded Cyber Essentials accreditation for 2018, in the run up to the introduction of the General Data Protection Regulation which comes into effect later this month.

Cyber Essentials is a Government backed scheme that helps to protect organisations against a whole range of the most common cyber-attacks. Document Network Services have been working with RDS Global since November 2017 on a journey to reduce cyber security vulnerabilities and improve protection against threats to their organisation.

Mark Harby, Solutions Specialist at Document Network Services, said:

“We have had our internal systems for IT, HR and Management audited by RDS Global who advised around areas that we needed to improve. These changes have all been implemented and we can now say with confidence that our core internal systems have been audited and have passed.”

Not settling for ensuring that only their own business is ready for the GDPR, Document Network Services have also been helping other local businesses get ready - by delivering GDPR Breakfast Events which teach more about the new legislation, how it will affect day-to-day working practices and some measures that can be taken to get ready.
