Burton-based roof tile manufacturer, Russell Roof Tiles has invested more than £85,000 into its plastics factory.
The latest investment has allowed for new and improved equipment and technology to be installed at its dedicated plastics site on Wetmore Lane in Burton-on-Trent, to help meet the growing customer demand for its dry verge products.
Dry verge products are a type of roofing accessories which fit over roof tiles to help keep them in place and provide a smooth finish.
Orders of the product have increased considerably in the past few years due to changing weather patterns, calling for more sustainable roofing and new industry standards. This has seen customers’ requests for certain products change to meet necessary requirements.
The upgrade in machinery will ensure that Russell Roof Tiles, which has always met the highest standards in manufacturing, is continuing to produce high-quality products in a quick and efficient timeframe for the customer, even when demand is so high. In addition, the customer will have the added assurance and knowledge that they are receiving a value for money product.
Employing 72 staff across Burton, Russell Roof Tiles is a pioneering independent roof tile manufacturer, providing roofing solutions for leading UK house builders and high profile social housing projects. The company specialises in manufacturing concrete roof tiles - which are produced at a second site on Nicholson Way in Burton - and plastic accessories.
