Regeneration is 'on the menu' at Willmott Dixon lunch

FEMALE leaders in property, construction and regeneration from across Leicestershire, came together to discuss regeneration in the city during a lunch organised by contractor Willmott Dixon.

Hosted by Willmott Dixon director Michelle Cotterill, the event brought together key leaders from both the public and private sectors to discuss the growing number of opportunities in Leicester.

Head of development projects at Leicester City Council Louise Seymour spoke at the event discussing the huge amount of regeneration in the city, with focus on the Waterside regeneration project which will see Leicester’s Great Central Station and the site of the former Stibbe factory transformed into homes, offices and a public space. Michelle said:

“There is a real appetite for investment and regeneration in Leicester and it is fantastic to have so many female leaders together in one room to discuss the region’s potential. With the Waterside development now well underway, we are beginning to see significant and positive changes in Leicester.

“Together, the private and public sectors want to create a city where people want to live, work and enjoy their leisure time. There is the infrastructure and housing provision that will allow for regeneration schemes to happen and create a vibrant city centre.”
