Eden ‘Numero UNA’ Choice for National Broking Alliance

Leading national alliance of insurance brokers, UNA, has appointed Nottingham-based PR agency Eden Public Relations to lead and direct its media, digital and internal communications programme.

Having worked with independent and chartered insurance brokers and risk managers and UNA members, Russell Scanlan, for more than 10 years, the UNA Board decided the Eden team was the perfect fit for the organisation.

Eden’s brief is to refresh UNA’s internal and digital communications strategies and support the organisation with a targeted media and public relations programme. Through the brand’s Twitter and LinkedIn accounts, its quarterly newsletter and its intranet Eden will ensure that the 750 employees of its 14 members are always up to date with the latest UNA news, while raising the profile of the organisation with the insurance trade media.

Operations Manager at UNA, Cath Bragington, said:

“Refreshing our communications approach had become a focal point of our board meetings and we knew we needed to find a specialist agency to support us – as our make-up and requirements are very unique.

“With 14 different members spread across the UK, we need to keep hundreds of people up to date with news about our latest initiatives, new product launches, knowledge and expertise sharing forums and events – which historically has been a complicated task.

“Eden’s knowledge of the insurance sector combined with a very hearty recommendation from Russell Scanlan made them an easy choice for our Board. We’re thrilled to see the Eden team has hit the ground running and has started delivering results and practical advice already.”

Joint Managing Director at Eden PR, Isabel Jones, will be directing the account with support from Consultant Emily Winsor-Russell and Senior Account Executive Helen Patchett. Isabel said:

“Working with UNA is a very happy marriage for us as we’ve developed excellent relationships with journalists in the insurance trade press over the years through our work for Russell Scanlan and we already know several of the UNA members, so we’re perfectly placed to start raising the profile of the organisation in its target publications.

“What’s more, we’re excited to support some major UNA initiatives this year such as raising £20,000 for charity and its annual conference in Edinburgh through a streamlined and refreshed combination of social and digital communications. UNA has 21 years of success under its belt and we’re thrilled to have been appointed to help it publicise its achievements going forward.”
