DBC delighted to be announced as finalists for 2018 AAC Apprenticeship Awards

East Midlands based DBC Training is delighted to announce they have been shortlisted for the prestigious ‘Business and Administration Apprenticeship Provider of the Year’ Award for the inaugural AAC Apprenticeship Awards.

Making the shortlist is a fantastic achievement as over 250 organisations submitted nominations, from colleges and training providers to the Home Office and BT. The Awards in association with CMI, will be held at next month’s Annual Apprenticeship Conference to recognise the very best in apprenticeship provision.

DBC Training CEO Kerry Bentley said:

"What an amazing achievement, to be a finalist is a fantastic accolade for DBC Training and testament to the hard work and dedication of each and every one of our team." Kerry continued “We will keep our fingers crossed that we win on the night as that would be the icing on the cake for the whole team and would be the perfect reward for all their hard work and dedication”.

As a finalist DBC Training will be recognised at a prestigious parliamentary reception, at the start of National Apprenticeship Week, hosted by Robert Halfon, the education select committee chair and a former skills minister.

The winners of the national awards will be announced at a glittering ceremony and dinner at the Annual Apprenticeships Conference in Birmingham on March 22.

Mark Dawe, chief executive of FE Week’s awards partner AELP, who helped with the judging, said:

“It was very difficult to choose winners in each category.  It’s fantastic to get so many applications in the first year. I was blown away by the range of amazing work being done by providers and employers.”

The AAC Conference will run from March 21 to March 23 at the International Convention Centre in Birmingham. National award winners will be announced at the AAC Gala Dinner on Thursday 22 March.
