Peveril Homes has the blueprints for success with the appointment of new Architectural Technologist, Charles Worthington

Derbyshire-based house builder Peveril Homes has continued to grow its in-house team with the appointment of experienced Architectural Technologist, Charles Worthington.

Charles recently joined the Peveril Homes team and is based at the company’s Belper head office. He brings with him over 16 years’ experience, and a wealth of construction industry knowledge - spanning successful spells with housing developers such as Miller Homes and Bloor Homes.

Day-to-day, Charles looks into the finer details of house design and construction - ensuring that working drawings coincide with the latest building regulations and third party information. This can relate to areas such as the design of floor joists, heating systems and kitchens, as well as looking over any other technical drawings and specifications that can affect the overall design of a property.

Charles has a key role in the building process, and as a result, needs to touch base with several key people on a daily basis such as site managers, structural engineers, local authorities and energy assessors to resolve any issues that may arise with regards to design, structural, regulation and thermal constraints.

He has settled in quickly in a short space of time and is happy to be part of a company with a ‘family feel’, that looks after its employees and focuses on its customers and prides itself on quality workmanship.
