HASSLE OF MOVING PUTS MORE THAN HALF OF RESIDENTS IN LEICESTERSHIRE OFF BUYING A HOME

Leicestershire residents say they’re put off the idea of buying a new home because of the hassle normally associated with having to move, a survey has revealed.
A total of 55% of people living in the area said they wouldn’t consider purchasing a property because they didn’t like the idea of having to move their belongings, along with other stresses that may often come with a new purchase.
The survey, which has been conducted by local housebuilders Barratt and David Wilson Homes, who are building new homes at a range of developments across the county, revealed that potential homebuyers generally didn’t like the idea of having to move home.
But with schemes from the developers such as Movemaker and Part Exchange, the stress of selling your existing home can be taken away, so you can enjoy your move without the hassle usually affiliated with a home purchase.
Barratt and David Wilson Homes’ Part Exchange scheme means the homebuilders purchase the customer’s current property in part exchange for a new home. The scheme cuts out estate agent fees and chains and gives the customer a guaranteed buyer for their home.
The developers also have a bespoke Movemaker scheme which can act as a one stop shop for all its customers’ needs, leaving them without the stress that normally comes with moving home by helping to arrange the sale of their existing home and covering the estate agent fees.
