Charterpoint Group celebrates ten years in business

Development company Charterpoint Group is celebrating its tenth anniversary.

The business was founded by Chief Executive Adrian Goose and Director Giles Nursey, and specialises in developing first-class senior living accommodation, sustainable housing schemes, and primary care premises.

Based at Wheatcroft Business Park near West Bridgford, Nottingham, Charterpoint initially concentrated on development opportunities in the Nottingham and East Midlands region. The group has gradually grown and now operates across a wide area – with current projects as far afield as North Yorkshire in the North and Surrey in the South.

“When we launched the Charterpoint Group, the recession was just about to hit which brought challenges that I am delighted to say we successfully overcame and we have since gone from strength to strength,” said Adrian.

“We have completed a wide range of highly regarded developments and have a number of significant schemes in the pipeline, including proposals for retirement and senior living developments, housing and mixed-use schemes.”

Key Charterpoint projects include the popular River View Court in Wilford Lane, West Bridgford, which was named a finalist for Best Retirement Development Award at the What House Awards 2017. Charterpoint secured planning permission for the 58-apartment McCarthy and Stone scheme. Last year the scheme was revealed as McCarthy and Stone’s most sought-after retirement destination in the UK after receiving more customer enquiries than properties in any other town nationwide.

Earlier this year the company secured outline planning permission for 240 new homes and a retirement living scheme at Louth, in Lincolnshire, and also for a retirement living scheme at Rolleston on Dove in Staffordshire featuring 34 retirement bungalows on a site of just over three acres.

Previous Charterpoint developments in the senior living sector include a luxury 60 ensuite-bedroomed care home at Market Deeping near Peterborough, a retirement village in Oakham and 64 extra-care apartments and bungalows in Eye, Peterborough.

“We are currently actively pursuing a number of significant developments in the senior living sector as well as our work in primary care development, and are delighted to be marking our tenth anniversary with a such a busy pipeline of opportunities,” added Adrian.

Members of the Charterpoint team enjoyed an away-day visit to London with a sumptuous meal at Heston Blumenthal’s restaurant at The Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park to celebrate the anniversary.
