Christmas Wishes Come True For Children at Derby Hospital

Three of the city’s largest property names have donated £20,000 worth of Christmas gifts to the Children’s wards at several local hospitals including Derby City Hospital, after the patients and staff released their very own santa wish list.

ALB Commercial Investments has been working closely with DL Rhodes & Son and Cassco investments, following a variety of successful property ventures in Derby, to provide presents for a selection of inpatient and emergency care wards that care for children of all ages, including the Children’s Emergency Dep.

A van load of presents have been donated by the companies including five TV's for Puffin ward, three ipads and a snooker table for Sunflower ward and two ipads, xbox and a wide selection of games and toys for the outpatients department

The Christmas gifts were hand-delivered on December 4th by the managing director of ALB Commercial Investments, Arran Bailey, Nigel Rhodes MD of DL Rhodes and Son, Rob Cassidy, MD of Cassco Investments and staff from ALB investments.

Arran said: “After the success of last years pledge, I knew it was something wanted to do again. ALB get involved with lots of charity and community projects, but with this one involving sick children it is something very close to my heart.

“We have had a plethora of building projects in Derby over the last year including St Peters House, the multi million pound project which will transformed an eight storey office block into 156 flats, and i am happy to be working with DL Rhodes & Son on another exciting venture”

Nigel Rhodes, managing director of DL Rhodes & Son, said: “I have known Arran for many years and last year’s Christmas charity pledge was heart warming, so this year we went bigger and hope that we can share more festive cheer for those who need it the most”
