Inspiring Business by Sharing Success

WFP FABRICATIONS TAKE THE SLOW ROAD TO SUCCESS

Ilkeston based firm WFP Fabrications discovered the slow route to business by taking a road trip in their 36 year old VW campervan Betty, landing three contracts worth £30,000 on the way.

Managing director at WFP Fabrications, Matthew Holmes took the plunge last month to slow down his fast based skip manufacturing business to hit the road in his VW T25 air-cooled Campervan with a maximum speed of 55mph!

WFP have been at the forefront of the skip manufacturing industry for many years, producing a wide range of waste containers for many satisfied customers.

Matthew Holmes said “I wanted to try a different approach and hit the road.” He used the opportunity to visit potential customers on a road trip from Derbyshire to Scotland.

Matthew Holmes and his finance Gemma Worthington attracted a huge amount of attention on their travels. They stopped at Morecambe Metals, North Bank Recycling and finished at Oakbank Services in Dumfries Scotland, where the couple pulled up by the sea and spent their evening reflecting on their great adventure.

Matthew said “It was such a fantastic trip that allowed us to slow down from our usual busy factory and meet our customers face to face.
“Our VW Campervan was a huge hit and a lovely talking point, William at Morecambe Metals even hopped inside for a cuppa with us”

The trip has proved beneficial for WFP Fabrications, as they have now secured a contract with all three businesses they visited totalling £30,000.
