Further expansion at Blue Castle Group

Waste management and energy consultancy Blue Castle Group has expanded its team further following the appointment of George Sale and Charlene Evans.

Charlene, who lives in Foston previously worked for Coca Cola Enterprises as an account manager in the grocery sector. Prior to this, she spent eight years working within the data industry as a national account manager.

In her new role at Blue Castle Group as Campaign Manager, she will be heading up the marketing team to ensure a cohesive marketing and sales strategy is implemented. This will include using integrated campaigns and co-ordinating follow up in order to deliver a steady flow of new business enquiries.

Commenting she said, “I approached Blue Castle because I thought they looked like an exciting company to work for and after hearing about their future vision and values, and experienced their culture I was excited about the prospect of using my skills and experience to help grow the business.”

In her spare time Charlene enjoys spending time with her children attending concerts and travelling.

The second new appointment is George Sale who has joined as a Sales Manager.

In his new role at Blue Castle Group, George will manage and develop 3 new business development managers in both the waste and energy divisions. Working closely with the marketing department, George will ensure the sales team is focused on business development, generating new leads as well as following up in bound enquiries.

Commenting, George said, “I was very impressed by everyone I met during the interview process. Blue Castle Group CEO, Marie Harley told a fantastic story of where the business has come from and how my new role would help fulfil many of the aspirations Blue Castle is looking to achieve.”

George comes from a retailing background, having previously worked in store management roles for Debenhams, Ikea, BHS and B&Q.

An avid football fan, George, who is from Annesley, has held a Forest season ticket for the last 18 years and continues to play football on a weekly basis for several minor league teams.  He also loves to travel, but never goes to the same place twice.

The company, which is based in Long Bennington near Newark now employs 35 people, 9 of which joined Blue Castle Group in 2017, and has many leading retailers, hotels, charities and leisure businesses as clients. These include, Jo Jo Maman Bebe, Go Outdoors, Majestic Bingo, Doncaster Racecourse and Chesterfield Football Club.

When working on behalf of its clients, Blue Castle Group seeks to help them achieve the best deal on utilities such as electricity, gas and water, as well as offering a total waste management solution. This includes consultancy advice on how to become more environmentally friendly by recycling waste products such as food, packaging, as well as the provision of recycling equipment and waste collection services.
