Bradley and Ryan take up training placements at Newby Castleman

Two fresh-faced trainees have been taken on by leading chartered accountancy firm Newby Castleman.

Bradley Weston and Ryan James, from Leicester and Lutterworth respectively, both started with the firm earlier in the autumn and are already relishing their new roles with the respected Leicestershire chartered accountants as they train for their ACA qualifications.

Bradley, 22, a recent graduate with a degree in accountancy from Lincoln University, said: “I’ve always wanted to work in accountancy, since I’m good with numbers, and the finance and accountancy-based work experience placements I’ve taken since leaving university convinced me I was definitely on the right path.

“I’m very happy to have been taken on by such a respected firm as Newby Castleman, where I’ll be training for my ACA for the next three years. There’s a great atmosphere here and everyone is very approachable, so I think I’m in good hands.”

Ryan, 19, has been taken on after studying accountancy at A Level at Lutterworth College. He said, “Since starting here a few weeks ago I’ve already learned a lot in a short space of time, and I’m looking forward to gaining my ACA and working towards becoming a tax specialist, which is my ambition and I think will make for an interesting career.”

Partner Stephen Castleman said: “We want to give keen, talented youngsters like Bradley and Ryan a platform from where they can gain skills and qualifications, and take their first formative steps on a successful career in accountancy.

“Both young men have already impressed us with their hard work and quick understanding of the profession, and we wish them all the best as they progress towards their ACA qualifications.”

Newby Castleman is one of the Midlands’ leading independent accountancy firms, with offices in Leicester and Loughborough. It offers a range of specialist financial services, business and tax advice for individuals and businesses.
