Peter England UK to provide dress shirts to Long Eaton Rugby Union Football Club in deal worth £2,500.
Derby Telegraph ‘Team of the Year’ nominees and a Derbyshire men’s clothing manufacturer are pleased to announce a sponsorship agreement which will ensure the team make a strong impression on match days.
Peter England UK, the traditional British shirt manufacturer headquartered in Riddings, Derbyshire, will provide Long Eaton Rugby Union Football Club’s senior teams with formal shirts for use on match days in a deal worth £2,500.
The firm is also providing additional shirts to ensure that players and management are well turned out for the upcoming Derby Telegraph’s Sports Awards Ceremony to be held later this month at The Roundhouse at Derby College.
Showing style both on and off the pitch, Long Eaton RUFC have beaten off some strong opposition to reach the Sports Awards shortlist in the category of ‘Team of the Year’ and they hope that their winning streak continues. In October, the club achieved a trio of top accolades at the Erewash Sports Awards and Chairman Chris Brookes attributes this to the massive strides made by the club in their sporting endeavours and their community support.
The sponsorship by Peter England UK is in recognition of the inspirational work being undertaken at the Long Eaton club in all aspects of its operations and its ambitious continuous development plan.
The donation of shirts for all the senior teams shows the commitment of Peter England to providing quality, well-fitting shirts for men who do not necessarily fit standard sizing. Recognising the diversity of the male physique and wanting to ensure the players scrubbed up well for match days as well as the Awards night, Peter England stepped forward to kit out the senior teams with white shirts.

Hopefully, we’ve helped the lads out and they’ll look good every time they are representing the Club.”
Not to be left out, the Long Eaton RUFC board members have also received shirts from Peter England thus ensuring that everyone will be well turned out. The generous fit of these shirts will mean that there’ll be no buttons popping off as the night wears on!
Chris Brookes, Chairman of Long Eaton RUFC is understandably delighted with this sponsorship. He adds:
“In recent years we’ve seen the rugby player physique making the pages of fashion magazines through stars such as Johnny Wilkinson. Who knows, following the photo shoot undertaken at the club by Peter England we may end up losing some our own stars to the catwalk!”
