MORLEY HAYES SHORTLISTED AS A FINALIST AT MIDLANDS FAMILY BUSINESS AWARDS

Morley Hayes, one of Derbyshire’s best-loved leisure facilities, has been shortlisted for two awards at this year’s Midlands Family Business Awards 2017.

The hotel, restaurant and golf venue on Main Road in Morley is the only Derbyshire company to be shortlisted in the prestigious Employer of the Year category, which recognises those family businesses with people at the heart of their organisation and whose family values make the business a good place to work.

In order to win the award, Morley Hayes will have to beat off the challenge from five very diverse companies: Nottinghamshire-based Ballards Removals; Absolute Works from Kenilworth, Leicestershire’s Dalycom, Lincolnshire-based Orderwise and River Canal Rescue in Stafford.

As a 2017 finalist, Morley Hayes is also in the running for the People’s Choice Award, which is decided by an online public vote, which closes on 31 October.

The overall winners of the ten categories will be decided following an interview day and will be announced at a black-tie ceremony taking place on Thursday 9 November at Derby Arena on Pride Park.

Established in 2010, the Midlands Family Business Awards is a charitable initiative organised by Nottinghamshire family business The Wilson Organisation. The awards recognise and reward success across 10 categories, each judged by an independent panel.
