BLUE CASTLE EXPANDS TEAM

Energy and waste management consultancy, Blue Castle Group has expanded further following two new appointments.

Barry Payne has joined as a corporate business development manager, and Beth Fairweather has joined as the assistant to the head of operations.

Barry previously worked for Restore Datashred (formerly PHS Datashred). In his new role, Barry will discuss energy and waste solutions with prospective clients as well as reviewing the programme of existing clients to ensure they have the most efficient and cost-effective energy and waste solutions in place.

Commenting on his new role, Barry said

“I wanted to join the Blue Castle team because I was immediately impressed by the vision of the senior management team and the happy, friendly culture at the Head Office.”

Outside of work, Barry is a keen sportsman and particularly enjoys playing football. He has played at a semi-professional level and now plays for Gedling MWFC. Barry has also completed the Nottingham Robin Hood half marathon twice raising over £1100 for Cancer Research UK.

Beth Fairweather joins Blue Castle from The Danwood Group Ltd where she managed a technical training team of trainers and administrators. Beth has completed a series of NVQ training management programmes and her new role in the Blue Castle waste management team, she will primarily assist the head of operations in the day to day efficient running of the account management team.

Commenting, Beth said

“Having worked for the same company for nearly 22 years, I wanted to join another highly professional and successful business. It was also important to work for a company who believes it is as important to treat their employees the same as their customers.  This ethos is evident within Blue Castle who are clearly committed to investment in the ongoing development of their staff and I was thrilled when I was offered a position with the business.”

Family is very important to Beth and outside of the office she enjoys spending time with her husband, 11-year-old daughter and mischievous 10-month-old Basset Hound. When she is not taking part in family activities, Beth loves to keep fit by taking part in circuit training and spin classes.

Commercial Director, David Brighton added

“It is with great pleasure that I welcome Barry & Beth to our fast-growing team. Beth’s experience is second to none and I’m sure she will be a great asset to our head of operations. Barry has a wealth of expertise and excellent management skills which, combined with his friendly nature, will ensure he transitions seamlessly into his new role.”
