Morley Hayes named as a finalist at the Food Awards England 2017

Derbyshire-based Morley Hayes’ two AA star Dovecote Restaurant has been shortlisted for the prestigious Restaurant of the Year - East Midlands award at the fourth annual Food Awards England.

Voted for by the public, The Food Awards acknowledge the efforts of England's restaurants, takeaways, pub food, hotel food, cafes and bistros. They also shine the spotlight on local producers who provide their delicious ingredients.

They seek to distinguish and show appreciation to those establishments and professionals in the food industry that serve the best dishes and help explore new flavours and cuisines from different cultures.

The Restaurant of the Year award recognises regional establishments that provide cuisine of a truly exceptional standard, as well as demonstrating innovation, ambience and a high standard of service and hospitality.

Morley Hayes will find out if its Dovecote fine-dining restaurant has been crowned the East Midlands winner at a black-tie award ceremony taking place at the Mercure Manchester Piccadilly Hotel on Monday 2 October 2017.

Other accolades up for grabs include Chef of the Year, Cooking School of the Year, Cafe/Bistro of the Year and Meat Supplier of the Year.
