INIT to showcase global innovation at Coach and Bus UK

FOLLOWING global demand for its innovative e-ticketing systems, INIT – world leaders in IT solutions for public transport – is showcasing its smart ticketing solutions and contactless technology at the Coach and Bus UK exhibition from 4 – 5 October on stand I4, hall 17 at the NEC Birmingham.

Having secured contracts with three major transport providers in the Portland-Vancouver Metropolitan Area and nine regional authorities in New Zealand, the German organisation is transforming traffic systems across the globe.

Already well established in the East and West Midlands with agreements with the operators in Nottingham, which form part of the Robin Hood Network and National Express, respectively, INIT will be showcasing its world-leading EMV (Europay, MasterCard and Visa) payments technology at the exhibition as well as providing live demonstrations of the smart ticketing solution currently under trial in Coventry with National Express.

“INIT is one of the few companies who can provide an end-to-end implementation of variable fare EMV payments, for VISA, Mastercard and Android and Apple phones,” said Jens Mullak, Managing Director of INIT UK.

“Our Smart Ticketing Systems employ automatic fare capping, saving passengers and transport providers considerable time and money. Customers are more likely to use the system too as they are able to travel confident in the knowledge that the best fare has been calculated for them, and make savings with a day ticket or monthly pass, without the upfront cost or forward planning.

“For travel providers, it speeds up boarding times and reduces cash in the system, as well as enabling cross-network integration.

“Our systems are producing marked improvements in the technical progression, efficiency and growth of transport companies around the world. We look forward to showcasing our systems at the Coach and Bus UK exhibition.”
