Beer fans raise a pint to athletes at Nottingham triathlon

SPORTS fans can support Nottingham’s British Triathlon event this weekend with a front row seat and specially named beer at Brewhouse & Kitchen.

Ben Pearson, head brewer at Brewhouse & Kicthen in Nottingham, pulls a pint of 'Tridration'

The brewpub, located on Trent Bridge, is inviting spectators to grab a prime spot on its outdoor terrace to watch the race and enjoy a pint of ‘Tridration’, named especially for the occasion and exclusively brewed in its on-site microbrewery, Copper Forest Brewery.

The event - which takes place around Victoria Embankment and Trent Bridge on Saturday (2 September) - will see elite athletes from across the UK, including the Brownlee Brothers, take part in the gruelling race consisting of a 300m swim in the River Trent, a 7.5km bike ride and a 1.5km run.

Simon Bunn, managing director, said: “We’re really excited to have such a fantastic event coming to the area, and we hope people will join us in coming together to cheer on the athletes taking part.”
