Solutions lines-up three-year sponsorship extension with Nottingham Lions

Business management software provider Solutions for Accounting and CRM has extended its sponsorship of the Nottingham Lions ice hockey club by a further three years.

The Nottingham-based firm, which is the UK’s leading provider of financial management and CRM software solutions, has been the club’s headline sponsor for the past three seasons and the new deal will see it continue until the end of the 2019/20 season.

It will see its logo feature prominently on the team’s playing jerseys and training gear, as well as in the club’s promotional materials and website, as part of the deal.

Managing Director Iain Barker said:

“At Solutions, we believe that sport plays an important role within the community, especially with the younger generation. It is very important for us to work with the community and be involved in fundraising activities and raising awareness for good causes.

“We’ve been involved with ice hockey for a number of years and felt that Nottingham Lions was a club with which we have a strong affinity and was a worthy cause to be sponsoring, so we are delighted to be on board for at least three more seasons.”

Nottingham Lions is the senior team of the Nottingham Ice Hockey Club. Its aim is to develop players from within the club’s junior system and give them a platform to progress on to the  higher levels of the game. It currently plays in the Laidler Conference of the National Ice Hockey League.

Former players include Marc Levers, Rob Lachowicz, Tom Norton and Ollie Betteridge, who have all gone on to win trophies with the Nottingham Panthers in the Elite Ice Hockey League, and represent the country in the GB national team.

Nottingham Lions head coach Matt Bradbury said:

“We’re delighted to have Solutions back on board for another three seasons. It’s great working with Iain and his team and means we can start next season with strong foundations and a good base of players.

“We have just finished another productive season and even after working with these players for so long now as a group, we have found so much more about the way our team operates and how we will alter our training methods to best suit the strength of our young team for the season ahead.”
