Blueprint adds colour to Rainbows re-fit

Workplace design and fit out company Blueprint Interiors has transformed the offices of Rainbows Children’s Hospice.

The firm, based near East Midlands Airport, has completed work on the refurbishment of the offices at the Loughborough-based charity.

Rainbows, which was established in 1994, provides care and support for life-limited children and their families. Its offices, which are housed over two floors, are used by the hospice’s marketing, administrative, fundraising and finance teams, as well as volunteers.

The former space was cramped and split into several individual offices. Rainbows tasked Blueprint with creating a better working space for staff, to enable them to work more effectively and collaborate more easily.

During the fit out, several smaller partition walls were removed from the first floor to create a modern, open plan workspace. The second-floor offices were also refurbished, to create a more vibrant and collaborative working environment.

Blueprint designed the space and décor to showcase Rainbows’ colourful Rainbows brand as much as possible, by creating a bright and colourful space with multiple breakout areas.

Blueprint’s Operations Director, Rachel Biddles, said: “We are extremely pleased with how this project has gone from start to finish. Everybody who has been involved has been amazing and the support we have received from our suppliers and subcontractors has been fantastic.

“I am extremely proud of what the whole team has been able to achieve in such a short time scale and it’s such a pleasure to see Rainbows staff enjoying their new vibrant office environment so much.”

Andrew Ball, Rainbows’ director of income generation, said: “We’re incredibly grateful to Blueprint and their suppliers and subcontractors for turning our dreams of a modern and vibrant office into a reality.

“Improving our working environment will lead to an increase in productivity and cohesiveness across our fundraising and communication teams. This, in turn, will enable us to better support our donors and funders and work closer together to secure more supporters into the future.”
