Anthony Joshua will be heading to Leicester just three weeks after his sold-out fight at Wembley with Wladimir Klitschko. The evening, courtesy of Kong Events will take place at Leicester Athena on Thursday 18th May.

Current IBF World Heavyweight Champion Joshua, will be fighting to defend his title, whilst attempting to gain the Super WBA and IBO titles. The fight with the former unified champion of the world, Klitschko, will take place on 29th April.

Shane Whitfield, owner and founder of Kong Events, is also preparing for a sell-out evening in Leicester.

“We have worked with Anthony Joshua before, and he is a real down to earth guy. The only difference this time is that we will hopefully be working with the unified champion of the world.”

Joshua has held the IBF heavyweight title since 2016, having previously held the British and Commonwealth heavyweight titles from 2015 to 2016. As an amateur he represented Britain at the 2012 Olympics, winning a gold medal in the super-heavyweight division. He also represented England at the 2011 World Championships, winning silver. He also boasts a 100% knockout-to-win ratio.

Sponsored by Gym King, the evening will include a 45-minute question and answer session with the boxing legend himself, which will be hosted by Sky Sports’ Johnny Nelson. There will also be the chance of a VIP experience, to get up close and personal with a meet and greet opportunity. Tickets also include a 2-course meal and entertainment.

Tickets can be bought individually or per table. For further information and to purchase tickets, search ‘Anthony Joshua’ on www.eventbrite.co.uk or visit www.kongevents.co.uk.
