Lincolnshire business expands to Nottingham

One of the UK’s leading environmental consultants, Delta-Simons, has announced the opening of a Nottingham office which is part of the firm’s Midlands expansion strategy, bringing with it several new jobs for the city.

Delta-Simons, which has offices across England and Ireland, has taken a space in City Gate East on Tollhouse Hill in Nottingham city centre which will accommodate a team of environmental scientists and engineers. The firm has already appointed a number of its Nottingham team but continue to recruit for additional specialist positions.

Delta-Simons is a UK-based but globally-operating environmental consultancy that provides technical advice and support to projects throughout the property and construction sector.

Specialist services include geo-environmental, EHS (environmental health & safety), environmental planning, ecology and sustainability services. With eight branches nationwide, Delta-Simons works nationally and internationally through the Inogen® Environmental Alliance; a global network of over 4,330 environmental specialists.

Over the last couple of years, the company has experienced rapid growth across its network of locations but particularly in the East Midlands. To harness that growth the firm wanted to invest in a Nottingham-based team to further expand its client base in the city and across the wider region. The Nottingham office will work in conjunction with the firm’s headquarters in Lincoln.

Paul Bennett, Unit Director for the Midlands region, and lead of the Nottingham team, said: “Delta-Simons’ long term strategy is to grow our existing regional offices and look at opportunities for new locations to further broaden our client base and provide greater geographical coverage.

“As our head office is in Lincoln, we are very familiar with Nottingham and Nottinghamshire and the industry here. It’s a dynamic city with an active property and construction agenda and with existing clients and a number of active contracts, opening a Nottingham office was a natural step for us.

“As a team, we are really pleased to have a base in Nottingham. After growing out of other regional offices faster than anticipated, we have taken on a considerable space at City Gate East that will accommodate a year of team growth.

“We are committed to growth in Nottingham and are looking forward to embedding ourselves in the local business community as well as supporting local not for profit initiatives. It’s an exciting time for Delta-Simons.”

Delta Simons, which nationally has a staff of 85, is currently working on education projects in West Bridgfood, Bullwell and central Nottingham as well as leisure, retail and industrial sites in Lowdham, Wollaton, Worksop and Newark.

Since 1992, the company has worked with industrial, commercial and residential developers, retailers, industrial manufacturers, fund managers, institutional investors, hi-tech companies, public sector and charitable organisations.

Delta-Simons’ ambitious growth strategy has seen the firm open five offices in the last two years. Locations include London, Nottingham, Lincoln, Norwich, Leeds, Manchester, Durham and Dublin.
