Blueprint Celebrates Prestigious National Award Shortlisting

Nottingham-based property developer Blueprint, which specialises in creating sustainable homes and workspaces, is celebrating after being shortlisted for a prestigious national industry award.

The team, headquartered in the city’s Creative Quarter on St Mary’s Gate, has been picked as a finalist in the Small Developer of the Year category in the RESI Awards 2017. They will join property developers from up and down the country at the award ceremony in London on May 10, where they will find out if they have scooped the award.

Blueprint’s award entry focused on its current development at Trent Basin in Nottingham, a new ultra-sustainable community on the banks of the River Trent which marks the first phase of regeneration for Nottingham Waterside, a 250-acre site just over a mile from the city centre. Trent Basin, a multi phased £100m project, will eventually create more than 500 new homes for local people.

Chief executive of Blueprint Nick Ebbs said he was delighted that the team had been shortlisted for the award. He said: “It’s an honour to be selected as a finalist for the RESI awards, and is testament to the creativity and innovative approach the team takes to each and every Blueprint project.

“We focused our award entry on Trent Basin, our current development centered around an historic inland dock in Nottingham. This new community is leading the way in sustainable living, with properties ranging from two bedroom apartments to five bedroom houses built using a fabric first approach. All of the homes have high levels of insulation, are zero carbon and will benefit from a UK first community energy system which has been designed and created especially for Trent Basin.

“There are now only 10 homes left for sale in the first phase of the development – illustrating that our passion for and commitment to green energy living and sustainable communities is shared by the people of Nottingham. We look forward to meeting the other finalists at the awards ceremony in May and sharing with them our progress and ideas on the development of spaces fit for the future.”

Blueprint has a track record of delivering low energy, design led development projects. Responsible for some of the most critically heralded property developments in the East Midlands, Blueprint is the developer behind No.1 Nottingham Science Park, Phoenix Square in Leicester and Green Street in Nottingham. Blueprint has been shortlisted for the RESI Small Developer of the Year award alongside seven other developers, including Generator Group and Urban Splash.
