Midlands based online peer to peer lender continues to expand.

Online peer to peer lending platform, ThinCats, has had a very busy year.  After moving into new offices in Ashby de la Zouch over the summer to house the increasing number of team members required by the growing company, in November they reached the milestone of £200 million lent to UK businesses.  In a continued drive forward, the Origination Team is set to increase to help grow and develop the network of Sponsors and Introducers that the company works closely with.  These are the financial experts who vet and assess UK businesses that are looking for loans, in order to provide ThinCats lenders with more information and a better assessment before deciding on where to invest their funds.

Mike Millington

Mike Millington has joined the team as Partnership Manager, where he describes his role, “To support our growing number of Sponsors and Introducers with the listing of new opportunities and to make sure that we are working to bring in quality cases to the platform as smoothly as possible.  This will ensure that the information packs are robust in all cases, thereby providing our investors with as much detail as possible regarding each case.”

 

Mike came from 28 years at RBS, latterly as Real Estate Finance Relationship Director.  He managed a wide variety of clients from small SMEs to large corporate entities, which, he explains, “Gives me the strongest foundations to ensure we can build firm and long-lasting relationships with our Sponsor companies, old and new.”
