University of Leicester’s multi-award winning hotel and conference venues receive more plaudits

College Court and Leicester Conferences, the conference and events portfolio of venues at The University of Leicester, has received more recognition of excellence by winning ‘Hotel of the Year’ and ‘Most Inspiring Manager’ at Leicester and Leicestershire Excellence in Tourism Awards 2016. 

The awards acknowledge the importance of the meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions sector of the tourism industry which is worth in the region of £1b to Leicester.

At the sixth annual Leicester and Leicestershire Tourism Awards, College Court was nominated as finalists in three categories – and won two of them.

It is not the first time that both venues have been recognised for quality at regional and national awards and have this year alone enjoyed wins at the national Venues of Excellence Chefs Competition for ‘Best main course’ and ‘Best wine service’ and also won ‘Professional Services’ at the 2016 Niche Business Awards and ‘Business Improvement Through Technology’ at the Chamber of Commerce Business Awards 2016.
