Business Support and Grant Funding Schemes Go Live In Leicestershire!

NBV are delighted to announce that the popular Starting in Business programme, Business Assist and two Grant Funding Schemes (Grant for New Business and Grant for Enterprise) are now available to Leicestershire residents.

Starting in Business Workshops

A new series of Starting in Business workshops are being delivered by NBV from December for individuals looking to start a business or in the very early stages of a new business. The workshops are for 4 days running over 3 consecutive weeks and have already been delivered across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Lincolnshire. They are now coming to Leicestershire.

Whatever business you dream of starting the workshops can help transform your idea into a business with the help and support of a great package of training and funding. On this programme, you’ll get to meet other like-minded people and benefit from the expertise of NBV, a company with over 30 years’ experience in helping people start businesses. NBV will be on hand to provide you with advice every step of the way.

Upon completion of the 4 days, you’ll have everything you need to get your business up and running! Register your interest to attend.

Business Assist

NBV’s Business Assist programme provides you with impartial, experienced business advice from one of our Business Advisers. Our Business Advisers have extensive experience of working across all business sectors. They specialise in working with small businesses and the self-employed and understand their issues. You will receive support through a mix of 1-2-1 advisory sessions, workshops and networking. Register with us today to access our Business Assist support.

The Grant for New Business and Grant for Enterprise

Funding is available from £1,000 to £2,500 at an intervention rate of 25%. Minimum project cost is £4,000 and maximum grant is £2,500. Grants can be used to purchase equipment or consultancy services.

In order to be eligible businesses must be:

• Ready to start trading/currently trading
• Selling business to business NOT business to consumer/retail
• Business registered with Companies House or HMRC (We can help with this)
• Based in Leicestershire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire or Greater Lincolnshire

The grant can be used for equipment including:-

• computer hardware and software
• tools and machinery
• monitoring/measuring apparatus
• photography equipment
• office furniture

Or toward consultancy services such as:-

• marketing strategies
• IT projects
• sales strategy
• growth mentoring and coaching
