Industrial Safety Boots Company recognised with Diverse Manufacturing Award.

Rock Fall UK took another step forward collecting a Diverse Manufacturing Award at the recent Made in the Midlands Awards.

Rock Fall UK, based on Wimsey Way at Alfreton in Derbyshire, were commended for their Manufacturing Achievements.

Their entry saw the second generation family business pit themselves against over 300 other manufacturers of all sectors from across the region.

The judges were impressed by the number of industries that Rock Fall’s range of safety boots, shoes and trainers covered. Highlighting that the company had, in the past 12 months launched styles for the automotive and chemicals industries.

The event took place at the IET in Birmingham, with guest speaker Danielle Brown MBE telling her story of overcoming a life changing illness to win double Olympic gold and 3 world championships before of presenting the awards in front of over 100 delegates.

When collecting the award Paul Wilson, Partnership Manager at Rock Fall UK said,

“The most inspiring thing for me as a member of the Rock Fall team is that we are always moving forward. When I joined the business around 2 years ago we already had an incredibly diverse range but the strides we have made since then are astounding. Our senior leadership team work tirelessly to develop the most technical, comfortable and functional safety footwear in the world.”

The Made in the Midlands Awards 2016 marked the 8th year of the event. Made in the Midlands is a privately run peer group for MD's and CEO's of Manufacturing and Engineering firms in the Midlands.
