LLEP Business Gateway (Growth Hub)

What is it?

The LLEP Business Gateway acts as a signposting service across a wide range of topics including:

Business start-up training and mentoring
Business growth and expansion plans, recruitment and investing
Access to finance, including local and national grants and loans programmes
Premises and search for new commercial property
Employment and skills
Regulation and compliance

This includes business support that is available from local and national partners across a wide range of industries and sectors.

Who is it for?

For anyone considering starting their own business, or those who are already in business and in need of support and assistance to improve or grow.

Who provides this service?

Much of the business support is delivered by a spectrum of support organisations; ranging from national partners such as
Department for International Trade and Innovate UK to local support providers, universities and local authorities.

Why have Growth Hubs been created?

Growth Hubs are Government initiatives which were set up by Local Enterprise Partnerships as a means of offering local business support. There are 39 Growth hubs run by each LEP in the UK.  The Leicester and Leicestershire Growth Hub was launched in 2014.

The key objective is to raise awareness and simplify access to the different forms of business support that are available in Leicestershire. The partnership overseeing the development of the LLEP Business Gateway consists of representatives from both public and private sectors, as well as our local universities.

A structured promotional programme aims to see the LLEP Business Gateway become an established and regular feature amongst the Leicester and Leicestershire business community.
