Notts Clegg Food Projects Satisfies Street Eats' Appetite For Growth

Nottingham-based Clegg Food Projects has completed its first project for food-to-go producer Street Eats, constructing a new processing site to help meet growing demand for the company’s convenience food products.

Following the acquisition of a new building by Street Eats earlier this year, Clegg Food Projects worked closely with the food producer to convert the existing building shell into a state-of-the-art food processing centre.

The multi-million pound scheme marks the first time the two firms have worked together and saw Clegg Food Projects coordinate the installation of a hygienic manufacturing and storage workspace, including brand new chilled and frozen areas, in just four months.

John Moxon, business development director at Clegg Food Projects, said;

“We were appointed by Street Eats to provide both design and construction services to help the client prepare the site, which was initially just a shell of an existing building. The project required a complete conversion into a multi-purpose processing site for sandwiches and snacks and needed to be completed quickly in time for Street Eats’ new range launch at the end of August.

“We were thrilled to be asked to take on this project for Street Eats, and we hope that this is just the start of a great working relationship.”

Street Eats specialises in hot and cold hand-held food-to-go products and recently won a New Sandwich Award at the Sammies 2016. The expansion is part of a long-term plan that will see the Food to Go brand triple its manufacturing capacity and hugely improve distribution links within the South of England, enabling it to continue its rapid growth.
