PKF Cooper Parry Appoints New Transaction Services Director

Midlands-based PKF Cooper Parry has expanded its Transaction Services team in the East Midlands with the appointment of a new director.

Edward Gray the new director for the Transaction Services team at PKF Cooper Parry.

Edward Gray joins the firm following 16 years at Ernst and Young, the last 10 of which were spent in the transactions team.

He has extensive experience of giving deal advice to a range of businesses - from small start-ups and entrepreneurial individuals, through to multi million pound corporates and private equity investors. He has worked across a range of sectors throughout his career, including industrials, engineering, building products and support services, as well as transactions with international buyers.

In his new role as director of Transaction Services at PKF Cooper Parry, Edward will advise on company acquisitions and disposals, carrying out a range of due diligence work, as well as providing wider support for businesses going through the transaction process.

Commenting on his appointment, Edward said:

“Having spent more than 16 years at EY, leaving was a tough decision, but the opportunity to join PKF Cooper Parry was too good to miss. The firm is known for its terrific client base and is a company with lots of growth ambition, filled with dynamic people and run on strong values.

“I’m looking forward to supporting a wide range of clients, growing the transaction offering at PKF Cooper Parry and establishing and creating new opportunities to help grow the firm, as well as continuing to provide great service to our current clients.”

Danny Parker, partner and head of audit at PKF Cooper Parry, added:

“We’re delighted to welcome Edward to our expanding Transaction Services team.

“He has a wide range of experience, from advising family owned businesses to selling large public limited companies and cross-border transactions and will bolster our transaction services offering considerably.”

PKF Cooper Parry is one of the largest independent firms of business advisers in the Midlands with an established track record of helping local businesses and private clients in the UK and internationally.

The firm acts for more locally owned private businesses in the Midlands with a turnover in excess of £5m than any other accounting, tax and advisory firm.
