Local Growth Hub Offers Free Business Support

Free face-to-face business advisers are available through the LLEP Business Gateway for businesses seeking to increase productivity, boost sales, access finance or develop their workforce.

The growth hub for Leicester and Leicestershire also offers free:

• Telephone advice and guidance for business start-ups and SMEs
• Website packed with business support information including details about funding and business events
• A programme of business workshops, business clinics and masterclasses (commencing in September 2016)

Since launching in October 2014, the LLEP Business Gateway has engaged of over 13,300 businesses through its social media channels and website, and has dealt with over 653 direct enquiries from local businesses seeking support.

Joanne Maltby, Business Adviser at the LLEP Business Gateway said,

“There is a clear desire among business owners to find opportunities for growth and to get their businesses fit for the future.”

“However, it’s not unusual for businesses to lose momentum or direction a year or two into trading. If business performance dips it is not always clear what action is needed to create sustained growth and motivation can begin to suffer.”
