The Cock and Hoop continues to make its mark on the Nottingham pub scene as a top craft ale destination, as it launches its very first Brewery Weekend 29th April to 1st May - a date for every beer-lover’s diary. The weekend will be the ideal opportunity to explore the very finest hand-picked ales and entertainment that Nottingham has to offer and is planned to take place as a regular event on the last weekend of every month.
Hosted by Derby’s multi award-winning Thornbridge Brewery, Cock and Hoop’s brass taps will be bursting with specialist offerings. From Charlie Brown, peanut butter flavoured beer, to Sequoia, an American amber ale, there is a brew to suit every taste.
The weekend kicks off with an amazing Friday evening of live music from Nottingham’s own Paul ‘Robbo’ Robinson from 7.00pm until 9.30pm and continues through until Sunday night when all pints will be discounted by one pound. For beer and music lovers alike, this weekend is certainly not one to be missed.
In the run up to this highly anticipated event, for the ‘egg-heads’ amongst us, Cock and Hoop’s weekly pub quiz, starting April 14th, is a sure crowd pleaser. An evening of light competition and frivolity is guaranteed, along with on the spot prizes and joke questions making for a quiz like no other in the city. With either eight pints of the very best ale or a meal for two up for grabs every Thursday, there is no better excuse to gather a winning team and take on the challenge.
Be sure to stick around for Cock and Hoop’s Card Bingo after the quiz every week – the cosy pubs unique take on the traditional game. Forget drab bingo halls, this game is sure to excite, with a cash prize available for first and second place weekly.
