Business Hots Up For City Eatery After Two Years In Business

Nottingham based Mewar Haveli is celebrating two years in business with a special champagne filled anniversary night on February 9, which will feature the restaurant’s new menu for 2016.

The fine dining Indian Restaurant, based on Radcliffe Road, will be hosting around 100 guests from 6pm, who will enjoy a special £20 set menu and greeted with free champagne and canapés on arrival.

Owner, Suraj Pathak found the eatery back in 2013, and was attracted to it for its stunning location and lake views, after managing an Indian restaurant at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel in Dubai between 2002-2006, and several other restaurants in the UK. He now plans to grow his business in Nottingham and is seeking franchise opportunities in other cities.

Suraj moved to Dubai in 1999 and spent seven years working as a restaurant manager to several five star hotels such as The Hyatt Regency, Sheraton Jumeirah Beach, and Radison sas, before moving back to the UK and starting a joint venture in 2011, he eventually used these years of experience in the industry to launch Mewar Haveli.

Suraj Pathak, managing director at Mewar Haveli, 39, said:
“I am very excited to celebrate another year of success for Mewar Haveli and feel this anniversary night is a fantastic way to mark the occasion with our incredible members of staff, and loyal customers."

“Over the last two years I have seen the restaurant grow really well, which has allowed us to increase our staff numbers. This is thanks to hard work from everyone as well as promotions such as our Sunday Extravaganza and it is testament to the fine quality of food and service that our customers receive.”

Following two successful years of growth, Suraj has increased his staff to a team of 17 and is hoping that this anniversary event will be the first of many, as Mewar Haveli plans to expand the venue’s daytime potential by hosting charity events, weddings, conferences, business meetings and networking events.

Suraj added:

“We are happy with how the first two years have gone here at Mewar Haveli but we will always continue to see how we can offer a better experience for the customer. We want to continue to expand and hope to have another facility in Nottingham City Centre soon as well as other future franchises in other cities.”
