Over 200 expressions of interest in new waterside development

Sustainable property developer, Blueprint Regeneration, has received over 200 expressions of interest for the first phase of its £100 million Trent Basin development from potential home buyers.

Forty five homes, which make up Phase One of the scheme, are already under construction and due to be completed in spring 2016. In total, 500 low energy homes will be built creating a new sustainable neighbourhood. The streetscapes prioritise people over cars and will appeal to a diverse range of home buyers from young professionals, growing families as well as those looking to downsize.

The homes have been designed with ‘fabric first’ principles to maximise the use of natural light and promote sustainable low energy living. Properties being built in Phase One will comprise:

  • eight 2-bedroom apartments
  • two 3-bedroom duplex apartments
  • two 2-bedroom homes
  • twelve 3-bedroom homes
  • twenty 4-bedroom homes and
  • one 5-bedroom property
  • guide prices start from £225,000 and early bird buyers will be able to reserve a property as early as March next year

Located on the north banks of the river Trent, the development is ideal for those who want to live within easy reach of the city but with the relaxed environment of the waterside living, Trent Basin boasts nearly a kilometre of water frontage. The contemporary architecture of the development takes its inspiration from the tall, stunning canal houses in Copenhagen, and will embrace the site’s industrial heritage by incorporating an acre of inland water which used to be the Old Trent Lane Dock.

Nick Ebbs, chief executive of Notts based Blueprint Regeneration, said:

“We knew there would be a buzz about Trent Basin. Its waterside location, the design and high specification of the properties, and ease of access to the city centre, gives potential home buyers an opportunity to live in this up-and-coming part of Nottingham. Trent Basin is a catalyst for redevelopment within the 250-acre Waterside regeneration area and will be a magnet for those looking for a community focused neighbourhood.”
