Artificial grass firm grows following warehouse expansion

A Rutland-based firm has taken on warehouse space in order to accommodate its rapidly expanding artificial grass business.

Evergreens UK, which is the largest artificial grass distributor in the UK, has undertaken an extension into a new 10,000 sq ft warehouse at its head office.

The recent growth comes after the family-run firm, which operates nationwide from its base in Market Overton, Rutland, saw a 20% rise in sales during 2014 compared to the previous year’s figures. The company has also recently won several contracts in excess of £4m, over two years.

The new warehouse has doubled stock holding, meaning the firm can now keep around 200,000 sq meters of artificial grass, in one dedicated warehouse.

“The warehouse expansion allows us to create a more efficient service and enables us to meet the demands and needs of our customers".

“The additional space will not only allow us to be more flexible when orders are placed as the turf is on hand, but will also give us enough space to enhance our national training facility for installers in the future.”

The artificial grass specialist already runs a series of useful training days for landscapers, customers and clients who are looking to learn the basics in artificial grass installation.
