Flint Bishop reveals excellent Legal 500 results

Flint Bishop has not only improved the scale of the work they are currently undertaking, they have also secured new clients such as multi-million pound turnover company.

Autoglass and continue to act for global publishing giant, LexisNexis after the contract was renewed for a further five years last month. Many of the new clients wins in the last twelve months have been so substantial, they are currently embargoed until later in the year.

It is for this reason that the firm were looking to increase their staff count by more than 21% during the first quarter of the new financial year and have recently announced several new lateral hires from DAC Beachcroft to aid in the development of its new Counter Fraud team.

Flint Bishop have also recently announced several award win nominations across Debt Recovery, Litigation, Family Law and Employment Law and HR, which evidences their commitment to delivering,

“A first-rate service to the level of the Magic Circle, with the cost of a regional firm”.

Managing Partner and Head of Litigation, Qamer Ghafoor, who has previously been described by the Legal 500 as an “A-star litigator with case-handling mentality which is ‘equal to City firms’” retained his ‘leading individual’ status for Litigation, along with Senior Partner, Andrew Cochrane. Andrew was also given the prestigious title in Licensing law due to his national client base. Both Qamer and Andrew are amongst just a handful of individuals in the region to obtain such a title.

The firm celebrated great ranking particularly those property Litigation, who the Legal 500 described the team as having “undertaken difficult negotiations with good results.

” The “Proactive” Debt Recovery team, along with Licensing, Family Law also received excellent tiers, with Wills and Probate ‘leader in field’ Claire Rudkin, and whose team was described as “excellent”.  Corporate and Commercial also obtained strong rankings with “Ran Oren and the ‘excellent’ David Miller leading the corporate and commercial teams respectively.”

Commercial Property’s multi-million pound national deals were also commended and specifically their work on,

“development projects; highlights included advising on build to-let projects, handling build agreements, and assisting with the sale of land for a residential development.”

They have acted on some of the largest projects across the UK, bringing further employment and jobs to the district. Head of Commercial Property, Ian Beardmore leads the team that boast a loyal client base and continue to act for regional property developers Bowmer and Kirkland and Clowes Development.

In total, the Legal 500 mentioned ten Partners at the firm, Qamer Ghafoor, Andrew Cochrane, Ian Beardmore, Nick Wells, Beverley Simms, Ran Oren, David Miller, Claire Tonks, Kirpal Bidmead and Claire Rudkin, based on their work in the last twelve months.
