Flint Bishop Associate Solicitor up for prestigious award

One of Flint Bishop’s newly promoted Associates Ben Lawson, has been nominated for ‘Family Law Young Solicitor of the Year’ at the Family Law Awards.

Ben qualified in 2011 and has since proved himself to be one of the most well regarded Solicitors in the region. Ben acts within all areas of Family Law and does much of his own advocacy. He is a mentor at the University of Derby, Chair of Derby Junior Lawyers and plays an active role in the community where he currently lectures students who are looking to get into the profession.

Ben joined Flint Bishop in 2012 where he catapulted to success in just a few short months after moving from a small firm in the City. Now he runs a strong and loyal practice, specialising in children matters, advising and representing grandparents, divorce and the resolution of financial matters.

The Family Law Awards are organised by publishing giant, Jordan Publishing, who have been running the awards for over five years. They aim to celebrate the work of Family Lawyers and their many successes, as well as recognising their outstanding achievements to date. There are sixteen categories in total, with Ben competing against three other Solicitors from around the UK in his category.

The ceremony takes place on 8th October in a glamorous event at the Connaught Rooms in London.

This is the first time that a Solicitor from Flint Bishop has been nominated for such an award.

I’m very much looking forward to the awards ceremony in October and hope to bring the award back to the East Midlands.”
