Local Architectural Practice Appoints New Digital Design Manager

Purcell is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Handley to strengthen the practice’s Building Information Management (BIM) and design offering.

Andrew has joined Purcell as Digital Design Manager and will be supporting the whole practice in developing Purcell’s BIM skill base. He has 18 year’s architectural experience and previously worked for Franklin Ellis Architects in Nottingham. He is based in Purcell’s Nottingham studio, which has recently relocated to the Lace Market to accommodate the growing team.

Andrew's role within Purcell is to lead the use, development and innovation of digital design, especially with the current industry focus on BIM. His key skill is supporting project teams to implement solutions not software, and has used and taught digital design throughout his career.  He is an effective problem solver and will be working at all levels within the practice to achieve beneficial results, delivering continuous improvement and innovation.

Andrew is already working with project teams to embed digital design methods that address technical challenges unique to each project. These methods are intended to answer client requirements for smarter workflows, collaboration and stakeholder engagement.

Andrew commented: “I’m delighted to have joined the Purcell team at this exciting time for the industry and look forward to leading the development and innovation of digital design within Purcell, transforming the way we work for the benefit of our clients.”
