Nottingham based Eden Public Relations has expanded its team with the appointment of Alex Jones as PR Assistant.

Alex joins the consultancy straight from Sheffield Hallam University where he graduated in Public Relations and Communication Studies; this is the first step in Alex’s PR career.

Eden first offered Alex entry-level experience with a four-week work placement at the start of the year. Impressing the Eden team with his skills, attitude and clear potential, Eden felt his hard work merited further opportunity.

Alex has already taken on the challenge, supporting on such projects as the opening of Cobden Chambers, a brand new independent shopping experience in Nottingham’s exciting Creative Quarter, and the opening of the new award-winning Hambleton Bakery Shop on Melton Road, West Bridgford.

Commenting on his appointment, Alex said: “I’m excited to have been offered this permanent role. I have a real passion for PR and great communication and feel that Eden is a fantastic place to improve and learn new skills. The team here have been very welcoming and I’m really looking forward to helping them with a range of clients.

“After graduating from University, I hoped to gain experience within a PR and Marketing environment. Eden offered me that opportunity and I’ve never looked back. It’s really nice for my hard work to have paid off and very refreshing to see that there are opportunities for graduates in entry level jobs out there.”
