Nottingham Businesses Invited to German Trade Networking Event

Business leaders and entrepreneurs in Nottingham are invited to a free event designed to offer top-class advice about pursuing trade opportunities in Germany.

The event, organised by the Invest in Nottingham Club, will take place on Tuesday, June 10 at the Adams Restaurant at New College Nottingham, in the Lace Market.

The Invest in Nottingham Club has been working with the University of Nottingham, UK Trade and Investment, Nottingham City Council and the DNCC to build and strengthen relationships with Germany.

Chief Executive of the Invest in Nottingham Club Simon Gray said the event, held from 5pm to 7pm, will be a perfect way to learn more about entering the German market.

He said:

“This event is aimed at anyone who is keen to pursue trade opportunities in Germany, as we are inviting companies who are already experienced in the German market place”.

“Figures show that Germany is the UK’s number one export market in Europe and number two worldwide, accumulating annual sales of more than €2 trillion in goods and services.”

Simon added:

“We are extremely keen to hear from and meet local companies who are interested in looking at Germany as an export opportunity.  We are equally keen to speak to companies who are already trading in Germany or are German companies based in Nottingham.”

Simon Gray speaks at a recent Invest in Nottingham Club event.

The event will begin with a drinks reception at 5pm followed by talks on the pursuit of German trade opportunities.

Speakers at the event will include Jens Mullak, Chairman of the Germany Interest Group for Invest in Nottingham Club and Managing Director of INIT Innovations in Transportation Ltd, as well as John Bailey, Managing Director of Fenrix Limited, which he created in 2009 to help CEOs and leadership teams drive growth for their organisations. John and his team have led over 20 strategy assignments for large multinationals across Europe and Asia.

Jens Mullak added:

“There are lots of opportunities for Nottingham and Nottinghamshire businesses in Germany. We are looking at practical ways for businesses to get more involved.”

Places are limited so people are encouraged to book early by emailing:
natalie@investinnottinghamclub.com to avoid disappointment by Friday, May 30.
