Alison Becomes Partner After Eight Years at Pkf Cooper Parry

Business advisory and accountancy firm PKF Cooper Parry has promoted an audit director to partner at the firm and nine other team members to management positions.

Alison Fovargue, who has worked at PKF Cooper Parry since September 2006, joined the firm as an audit senior and progressed to assistant manager, manager, senior manager, director and now partner.

Her role is to work with owners of privately owned local businesses with the aim of helping them achieve their objectives both in terms of their business and personal aspirations.

With over 10 years experience, Alison leads client relationships primarily with a turnover in excess of £5m across a number of different market sectors.

She said:

“My role allows me to spend time with my clients, gain a thorough understanding of their business and offer them sound commercial and financial advice to help them to realise their investment in the future. I have a natural commercial interest in business, deliver advice in a practical and candid way and am passionate about adding value at all times."

She added:

“I am very much looking forward to continuing my role as a relationship leader at PKF Cooper Parry, both in terms of further developing my existing client relationships and working with new clients of the firm in the future.

PKF Cooper Parry is a unique, passionate group of people with a clear identity, committed to doing things properly and I could not be prouder to be appointed as partner and to be part of the firm’s longer term future.”

Along with Alison’s promotion, the firm has promoted two team members to directors, four to senior managers, two to managers and one to assistant manager.

Ben Rookes will take on the role of director in the corporate finance team, Steve Ellis will become a director in audit, Rob Chatwin, Catherine Kelly, Helen Scothern are to be senior managers in audit and Claire Shirer is to be a senior manager in tax. Faye Wyles has been promoted to manager in the audit team, Charndeep Baines is now a manager in tax and Jo Sharp is an assistant manager in business development.

Ade Cheatham of PKF Cooper Parry said: “Firstly, everyone is extremely keen to congratulate Alison on her recent promotion to partner at the firm. Alison has shown great skill, determination and fantastic client awareness in her eight years at the firm and I’m thrilled that she is now a partner.

“Praise is also due for Ben, Steve, Rob, Catherine, Helen, Claire, Faye, Charndeep and Jo who have proved themselves to be ready for managerial roles. It is a very exciting time for the firm as we have just moved into our new regional base at Castle Donington and all our team members are keen to capitalise on our ongoing successes as the most respected business advisory and accountancy firm in the Midlands.”
