New Midlands Ambassador Promotes Professionalism in the Wedding Planning Industry

Nottingham wedding and events planner Valerie Mattinson has been appointed Midlands Regional Ambassador for the UK Alliance of Wedding Planners (UKAWP), the leading industry body for the UK wedding planning market.

Valerie, the Director of Benessamy Weddings & Event Planning based in Nottingham, will support the UKAWP’s growth through educational and social activities and helping with local queries.

She says:

“I’m excited and honoured with my appointment and welcome the opportunity to represent the UKAWP across the East and West Midlands.  I’m particularly looking forward to networking with and providing support to wedding planners committed to promoting professionalism in our industry.”

UKAWP Membership Director Sandy Moretta adds:

“We are delighted to have such a superb business woman on board.  As an experienced planner member, Valerie has acted as an ambassador for some time, but it’s great to formalise the position and work more closely with her.”

Valerie started out as a solicitor, moving into external and corporate affairs before setting up her wedding and events business. Passionate about her work, well organised and with an eye for detail, Valerie is already making her mark in the industry and receiving glowing testimonials from her clients.

Understanding how difficult it can be for busy professionals to juggle their demanding lifestyle with planning their wedding, Valerie prides herself on ensuring that all clients receive a dedicated, first class service – from finding a venue or supplier or giving support by the hour, to providing a rescue service or planning a full wedding or event.
